It was an incredible experience to hike around Goose Pond. There were lovely Pink Lady Slipper and Jack-in-the-Pulpit wildflowers. I was astounded by the sheer visibility of the water. As a girl growing up in the Midwest, I could never catch onto the notion of all those sword and lady in the lake myths when my experience with lake water was murk. (All reinforced by 4th grade microscope exercises of viewing contents of pond water.) But after seeing Goose Pond, I believed in L’Morte de Arthur and “seeing” the magical in water at last.

Listening to some new chill music and I find myself sharing the lyrics and notes lost in a quiet voice beneath heavy lids. A glass of good Chardonnay in a blue stoneware juice jar.
"Just like a star crossed my sky...just like oil on my hands..."
Dogs stretched out beneath my desk asleep. A new lamp with a bulb that is anything but harsh light and company for the late night time at the computer.
